
Dump Cake
1 box (18.25 oz.) white cake mix (or I've used yellow if that's all I have)
1 can (20-21 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup shredded coconut (or more if you like it like I do!)
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted (I usually just use 1/2 cup)
In a 9x13 baking dish, mix cherry pie filling with pineapple. Spread evenly in pan. Cover evenly with dry cake mix. Top with coconut and nuts. Pour melted butter evenly over the top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-45 minutes or until the sides are bubbling and the top is browned.
Note: Let cool for about an hour before cutting. Don't forget your scoop of ice cream!
