1/2 Cup (1 stick) butter
2 TBS white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 Cup sifted flour
1 Cup walnuts or pecans (optional)
Cream butter and sugar. Blend in vanilla, flour and nuts. Chill dough. Shape into small balls and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. While still hot, roll in powdered sugar. Coat and then roll again in powdered sugar. Makes about 10-12 balls.
